ABOUT AIM TO SWIM

The Story

AIM to Swim LLC was formed in April 2023 by owner Aaron Moran to serve the community with swimming education and a path toward swimming excellence.  Aaron believes there is a large opportunity gap in San Antonio and throughout the U.S. that is keeping young swimmers from receiving proper education in the sport at a young age.

The journey of AIM to Swim LLC began long before its formation.  In 2010, Aaron Moran began working as a swim instructor during the summers of his high school career.  During those 4 years, Aaron developed an immense love for teaching and sharing his swim experiences and knowledge with other swimmers.  That drive to empower other swimmers continued to grow and even helped him along his own journey as a swimmer where he was able to qualify for many state & national level meets during his time at Brandeis High School and as a part of the Alamo Area Aquatics Association swim club.  Following high school, he committed to swim at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) for 5 years (1 red-shirt year), where he was part of a 2 conference championships, and 3 conference titles in the 200 back.  After his time at UIW, Aaron decided to start a full-time job that took him away from the sport for some time.  This time away from the sport and from coaching demonstrated just how passionate Aaron was for coaching and helping swimmers of all ages and levels develop to be the best they can be.  Aaron is now a senior coach and age-group level coach at Streamline Aquatics, an assistant coach at TMI Episcopal (Texas Military Institute), a private high school in San Antonio, and offers private swim education as part of the AIM to Swim mission.
